What is 'Fast Design'?

It is a methodology that we created while building up our company. We didn’t really plan in any way to come up with that idea but the reality of the design business, pressure and the need to improve as fast as possible, made it so it just sort of happened.

Do you know that famous/cliche Pareto Principle - 80/20? Yes, the one from your math classes. We sort of ended up using it as a basis for Fast Design.

80% of our design process is the part where you do as much work as possible with the first idea that makes sense and put you in the ‘flow’ state. That creative process, where all the ideas, inspirations and influences, fall into this one vision that just a right for the project. That is how we can have a sketches for customers within a few days. This is how we have fun with what we do. And this is how we avoid the pressure of not delivering on time - which is never the case. And this is how we have learned to trust our instincts as a designer. That is 80%.

The last 20% is the more detailed work. This part of the process is done after the initial sketches and after a feedback round with the customer. This is the time when we fix the fonts, the colour codes, and all the time-consuming details. This is the phase where we incorporate feedback from everyone involved in the project. And this is the stage where the project gets finished. That 20% takes 80% of the time. No joke.

‘Fast Design’ is a creative strategy, that we are very happy to explore and share with others. It does go outside of what the industry has accepted as a 'correct' creative process.  It is something that helps us explore new ideas. It is also a great way to explore 2 or 3 concepts at the same time, without worrying about the missed deadline or we have too little time.

This is how we can help you solve most cases within the sphere of digital design. With a focus on prototyping and digital marketing. We work under our own methodology called 'Fast Design' constantly redefining what it means to be a designer. We try to optimize the way we collaborate, design, communicate and deliver.
